- Typically invoiced as "Federal Subscriber Line Charge", these represent fees collected and kept by the local phone company. These fees are not passed through to the federal government. Every dollar you pay is profit for the phone company.
- Excludes a $0.99 "Regulatory Recovery Fee" plus a $0.99 "Enhanced 911 Cost Recovery Fee"; these fees are kept by Vonage, and not passed through to any state or federal agency. DexterVOIP does not assess these "made-up" fees. Any fee that might be listed on your DexterVOIP invoice represents a mandated government charge that is fully passed through to a federal or state agency. Fees also include a $14.95 shipping charge.
- Verizon Freedom Essentials varies depending on your location. The plan includes only three features: basic voice mail, caller ID and call waiting. Unlimited calling to Puerto Rico is included, but not to Canada.
- Plan price varies depending on location. A $65.00 set-up fee applies. Plan includes unlimited local calling, unlimited domestic calling and local toll service. Voicemail is included in the monthly price.
- Qwest Choice Home provides a choice of three features, including basic voicemail. Includes unlimited domestic calling only.
- Consists of the BellSouth PreferredPack Plan ($30) and BellSouth PreferredPack Unlimited Plan ($24.99). The combination provides five calling features, excluding voicemail. Includes unlimited domestic calling only.
- Includes average activation fee of $42.30 (varies by location) and fee for basic voicemail service, branded as "BellSouth Voice Mail."
- $49.95 fee applies to subscribers who only sign up for phone service. If subscribing to Digital Cable and/or High-Speed Internet, monthly phone service fee is $39.95.
- Subscribers who only sign up for Digital Voice pay $54.95/month as well as a monthly $3.00 service charge. A $44.95 monthly fee applies to subscribers who have either Comcast Cable or Comcast Internet Service. A $39.95 fee only applies to subscribers who sign up for Comcast Cable and Comcast Internet Service.
